From the beautiful story,
Jonathan Livingston Seagull...
"When you come to the edge of all the light you have known and are about to step out into darkness,
Faith is knowing that
one of two things will happen:
There will be something to stand on--
or you will be taught to fly..."
-Richard Bach-

Soul Walk, October 2004
Sometimes...
in pursuance of greater meaning,
the soul embarks upon a journey
of endless miles,
all roads seemingly leading nowhere.
The search may take us to far off places
or climbing some winding mountain path,
where atop sits a tiny chapel;
a shrine to the others whose search
once led them there.
Soon, the spirit grows weary,
culminating in that moment
when the disillusioned soul
turns to the heavens and cries out,
"I can't do this alone!"
When lo and behold--
a response!
And we come to understand,
we are none of us alone.
Wherever we may find ourselves,
or however dark the night,
we are not alone.
So, don't hold back in your hour of need;
Allow your spirit to call out...
-Then await Heaven's certain reply.-
